My journey as an artist began when I was just 4 years old. It all started with a gift from my mother – my very first paint-by-numbers oil set. I can still recall the excitement I felt as I peeled back the plastic wrapping and opened the box to reveal those colorful little pots of paint. The scent of the oils immediately captured my senses, filling the room with a comforting aroma that I still love to this day.

As I dipped my brush into the paint and carefully filled in each numbered section on the canvas, I was transported into a world of creativity and imagination. There was something magical about the feeling of that mushy paint spreading across the canvas under my brush, creating vibrant strokes and patterns.

Completing each painting brought me a sense of accomplishment and joy unlike anything else. It's fascinating to me how childhood moments of imagination like this can shape our passions and interests for a lifetime. Those early experiences with my paint-by-numbers set laid the foundation for my love of art and painting. Even now, as an adult artist, I still find myself drawn to that childlike feeling of wonder and excitement whenever I pick up a brush and start to paint. The challenge today is to let go of the noise of daily life, drift into that imaginary world once again, and let my inner child guide the direction of my brushes.

As of now, I have been creating fine art paintings and commissioned heirloom portraiture for over 25 years. At last count, my originals and prints have shipped to over 30 countries and throughout the United States. My work is sold in major retail outlets, including Home Goods, Amazon, Joss & Main, Target, and Kate & Laurel. In addition, I work closely with interior designers to create custom artwork for residential and commercial spaces, as well as license my artwork for promotional use.
